Track the Lion’s Share Progressive Machine here

The MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada is home to the most famous progressive slot machine in legalized gambling.

The Lion’s Share machine is the sole survivor of a bank of similar machines.  The one armed bandit is noticeable in the casino by its retro look and mechanical dials.  This final machine is being kept in active operation mainly because Nevada state gaming laws stipulate that a progressive jackpot cannot be pocketed by the casino, and must be won by a player.  Progressive jackpots accrue with the understanding that the moneys displayed could ultimately be won with a bet they might be making.

MGM is keeping the machine for all us gamblers until someone is lucky enough to win the ever increasing jackpot.  Rumor has it that the winner may get to keep the machine as well as the small fortune displayed above its reels.

Help us track the jackpot amount in the comments below…
